Kiara's Story

Kiara had a beautiful heart and soul, and loved the world fiercely. Although going into much greater detail in our novel, below is a short overview from Anne & Paul's written biography, "Kiara's Story", where they recount the fifteen years their youngest daughter walked the earth.

Kiara was born on February 28, 2008. She was adorable, with gray-green eyes, a bubbly personality and an infectious laugh.
Kiara was very creative, and was known in our family as an expert cook. When not baking, Kiara could be found drawing, sewing, writing stories, or creating jewelry. A collection of her creative musings is found in "Kiara's Gallery"
As we were uprooted every three years due to our diplomatic assignments, Kiara established a strong bond with her older siblings, Mateo and Zoë.  They were always there for each other and shared all the experiences of living in different countries, new languages, new customs, new friends, always encouraging each other.
Although a cautious child, Kiara loved spending time outside with her family and friends. Growing up, she loved learning to ski, riding her bike and playing at the beach.
Alongside her siblings, Kiara was very close to her parents, Anne and Paul. As a family, they loved traveling to new places and trying new restaurants. Over her life, Kiara moved to seven different countries, including Austria, Brazil, Hungary, The United States, Peru, Germany and Greece.
Kiara fought hard against her mental health struggles, always looking at the world through a positive light. She has taught us the importance of a smile, and to love the world and your loved ones fiercely. She will remain forever in our hearts.
